RIOT VENDING & FREE BALLIN' (Get your minds outta the gutter)

It's been a busy week workwise so I've slacked a little... However, I'm about to make up for it!!

A couple of days ago, I participated in a lil riotvending at Sn@tch (SLurl) and got a bunch of the Tambourettes to join me there.  We made out like bandits on the Vends and on the Lucky Boards... wooohoo!!

This is the Mary Mary long hippie skirt and halter, both Riot Vend purchases (fatpacks, of course). With it, I'm wearing the Enchant hair from Analog Dog's sale area, which was 75 Ls per colour pack and includes a shoulder piece which I am wearing here.  Analog Dog is located Here.

The photo below features the Sn@tch Fluffer Mixed Mesh Lingerie of which only the corset is mesh.  As always at Sn@tch, it is also a fatpack.  I am wearing another shade of the Enchant hair from Analog Dog, but without the shoulder piece this time.  I am also wearing my Swivel jewellery.

While I was at Analog Dog, I decided to check out the freeball on the beach and thought I would show you what it currently contains.  Some of the hairs come in the "Splash" colour pack but you also get the Hud, which allows you to play around somewhat. The style called Pop Scotch below shows what you can do if you try different things with it.

I made it over to Prim & Pixel (SLurl) today to scoop up the latest group gift and have been having fun styling it and taking photos ever since!

Mairead has given us a cool pair of straight legged pants in "washed", which I have combined with the Valentine blazer on sale for 120 Ls (normally 275 Ls).  The blazer comes with a hud and 6 different textures for the shirt... I am only showing 1 of them here:   [edited to add:  I forgot to mention, the blazer comes with system jeans and a mesh knotted belt, neither of which I am showing here!]

Last Day for League 50% Off Sale

I was in a "brown" mood today and picked up a few things in various shades:

These are the Zipped pants and Spring Frill camisole in shades of brown.  I'm also wearing my Caged turquoise and brown necklace and bangles and the Slink Mademoiselle shoes in brown (previously blogged).

This next photo is of the League Hobo miniskirt in brown (which comes in a 3-pack), styled with another shade of the Spring Frill camisole and the Asuka boots in brown.  Don't forget to check upstairs where the already-reduced items are also on sale for 50% off!!  Mood = wistful.

Next we have the League Folklore leggings in Navajo and the Ribbon Tied tank top in Wisteria, combined with the Baby Monkey Katia boots (SLurl).  I am wearing my Gold Bells necklace in this shot - and feeling pouty.

Sugar Silverstar.....I love men's hats.

There are a lot of men's hats available around Second life some good and some not so good but one of the best shops for hats is owned by Johnfrancis Laville.  All the hats are his own work and have wonderful textures.  Most are mesh and all are resizable.

This is my favourite hat, the cowboy hat, its in a pack of 6 different colours.  If you look around you can find hair that works with hats the style I am wearing is called Selena by Catwa and Lamb make styles that are close to the head so don't stick out unduly as well.

 The Flat Cap which has a backwards version in the pack as well as the one above.

The prices of the JFL hats are very competitive most seem to be between $200 and $300 linden for fat packs of 6 hats some are sold separately for $100 Linden.

The Fedora above and the Panama below are  cute no nonsense hats that are great editions to outfits.... but there are a large variety of different sized brims and colours in similar styles. Pork Pie hats and wide brimmed Plains hats, Bowler hats Top hats and many many others. 

You will also find  a lot of ethnic styles of hats from different religions and countries.

Gypsy Antics...

After Grif Bamaisin's show at the Gaslight last night, where we did a "Gypsy" theme, I checked out some leads for more gypsy/boho type outfits.  These are real bargains!!

Firstly, the Boho skirt fatpack from Casual Lies (SLurl), which is 24 Ls for 24 hours..  WOW!  You get FIVE different skirts in this mesh fatpack.  With it, I am wearing the top from Ho Wear's Sweet Stuffs blue, which was 25 Ls yesterday (the whole outfit).  Ho Wear's sale board is located here (SLurl).

I am also wearing my new "Caged" set in copper and turquoise - earrings, necklace and bangles.

Last night, MintFriday Magic was wearing a very nice outfit and she kindly shared the LM with me.  It is the !gO! (SLurl) Gypsy Life fat pack for a whole 88 Ls!!  You get SIX different outfits in this fatpack.  Thank you for the tip, Minty!!

55L THURSDAY... !!!

It's Thursday and that means the 55 L sale ...  I have a couple of cute outfits to show you:

 First, from Sassy (SLurl), the Tribeca leather pants in pink and the matching Gramercy leather corset (which is on sale for 60 Ls for the weekend).  I love the detail on this outfit, including the lacing in the back!!

Secondly, from J Style (SLurl), the Daria outfit which includes crop top, skirt with 5 texture options, belt, garter socks, cuffs and rings (these latter two are not resizeable, unfortunately).

With both outfits, I am wearing old group gift hairs from EMO-tions.  The top one is Carlotta and the bottom one is Deborah.  :)

Long One Today aka Shop Till You Drop!!

Well, I uhhh... went shopping today...  to The Deck, My Attic (SLurl), where everything is 95 Ls.  It took a LONG time to rez, perhaps cos it's the first day and very busy.  Here are some photos:

I got this hair, called Nikky by Mina there...  The dress is an old gift from Plastik called "Boudoir - Ruby. The jewellery is mine.

I bought some SHOOZ at The Attic, too. These are add-ons for the Slink feet called Mademoiselle and made by Sysy.  Again, 95 Ls each color (I got navy and brown).

Then I went to the 21Shoe event which is only for today - you get two pairs of shoes or boots for whatever price the designer has charged.  Have a look at what is being offered here.  Many of the shoes offered during this event are for the Slink feet, but not all.  I got Slink's Priscilla shoes for the "high" feet, in lovely glitter tones, for 599 Ls (gulp) (SLurl).

I couldn't resist checking out the other shoes in the 21 event, and ended up buying the ones below, from KoiKoi, a new-to-me designer (SLurl) for 295 Ls.  I joined the Subscribe-O there and received a joining gift of some little booties for the Slink medium feet (3rd photo).

Loving You More and More Each Day... Mesh, That Is!

Especially when I can buy from Liv-Glam at excellent prices (SLurl).  I make a point of checking out all the photos on the notecards I receive from LG, cos you just never know what you'll find!  The following are a few of my recent purchases:

From the SLebrity Shopping Street Sale (SLurl), for 50 Ls, the Independent Woman dress which comes with a HUD with 6 colors, just 2 of which are pictured below.  The bracelet in the second photo is JJ's Vintage Stained Glass Bracelet, which has several textures on a menu.

 

 Next, Instant Crush Outfit 2 which was 55 Ls in the 55 L Thursday sales.  Totally something that I would wear in real life:

Finally, the Why Wait Hud 1 outfit with 6 different abstract textures for the top.  I think this one is no longer on sale - I could only find the full price version at the store just now.

Prim & Pixel Has Moved!!

Oooh, I have been waiting for this day!  Prim & Pixel has moved to new quarters!!  The new SLurl is HERE.

As always, Mairead and Karra have oodles of lovely new things for us including as always, GIFTS!! Take a look at these....

This is the Spring Knit dress in black, a group gift.  It also comes in Monotones, Blossoms, Blues and Sepias (my personal favorite) with 3 shades per hud and 18 belt choices. Worn below with the Maitreya Bloom boots that I still love.. and my Turquoise Rock earrings.

Next up are two more group gifts:  the Color Blox Suede Shorts in chamois and the Purple Moto Jacket...  Love them!!

Lastly, we have the "free for anyone" Ain't Over Yet Nordic sweater paired with the pants from the Cold Front Leather outfit.  I look like I'm asking "Isn't winter over yet?"

Rest in Peace, Lacey

Yesterday I learned of the passing of Shan Chard, a wonderful wife, mother, and musician in real life and in Second Life.  Shan fought a long hard battle with cancer and has now succumbed, leaving her dear ones including her husband Byron behind to mourn. She is peaceful now, which we are thankful for, but as evidenced by the countless posts on her Facebook wall, will be sorely missed by anyone whose life she touched.  I did not know Shan (Lacey Lohner in SL) nor her husband (Lugg Lohner in SL) well, but have counted them among my acquaintances for many years....

In Second Life, Lacey manifested herself as a fairy.  As a small tribute to her, I present the images below of myself as a fairy, in heaven....

On Thursday-Friday, January 16-17, there will be a memorial concert to celebrate Lacey's life, at Lacey's Place.  

Rest in peace, Lacey...  You will be missed.
