There are a lot of men's hats available around Second life some good and some not so good but one of the best shops for hats is owned by Johnfrancis Laville. All the hats are his own work and have wonderful textures. Most are mesh and all are resizable.
This is my favourite hat, the cowboy hat, its in a pack of 6 different colours. If you look around you can find hair that works with hats the style I am wearing is called Selena by Catwa and Lamb make styles that are close to the head so don't stick out unduly as well.
The Flat Cap which has a backwards version in the pack as well as the one above.
The prices of the JFL hats are very competitive most seem to be between $200 and $300 linden for fat packs of 6 hats some are sold separately for $100 Linden.
The Fedora above and the Panama below are cute no nonsense hats that are great editions to outfits.... but there are a large variety of different sized brims and colours in similar styles. Pork Pie hats and wide brimmed Plains hats, Bowler hats Top hats and many many others.
You will also find a lot of ethnic styles of hats from different religions and countries.
